This product is sold exclusively as a dietary supplement. It is not a medicine. Its use is based on traditional TCM applications.

Main benefits

  • Pattern Identification: Traditionally used for the TCM pattern of Kidney Yang deficiency and decline of the Ming Men (Life Gate) Fire, typically presenting as lower back pain, cold extremities (especially the lower half of the body), frequent or nighttime urination (nocturia), and profound fatigue.

  • Core Function: The formula is classically said to gently warm and tonify Kidney Yang while simultaneously nourishing Kidney Yin to provide a substantial foundation for the Yang to grow.

  • Yin and Yang Relationship: Based on the TCM principle of "seeking Yang within Yin," the formula uses a large proportion of Yin-nourishing herbs alongside a small amount of Yang-warming herbs. This ensures that the "fire" has enough "fuel" to burn steadily without exhausting the body's underlying reserves.

  • Key Ingredients: Shu Di Huang (Prepared Rehmannia) strongly nourishes Kidney Yin and Essence; Rou Gui (Cinnamon Bark) and Zhi Fu Zi (Prepared Aconite Root) warm the Ming Men Fire and tonify Kidney Yang; while Shan Yao (Chinese Yam), Shan Zhu Yu (Cornus), Fu Ling (Poria), Ze Xie (Alisma), and Mu Dan Pi (Moutan) support the Spleen and Liver, and gently drain excess fluids to prevent stagnation from the heavy, rich tonics.

  • Emotional Component (TCM): Often used when physical exhaustion is accompanied by an emotional lack of drive, apathy, or lethargy, reflecting the Kidneys' role as the residence of Willpower (Zhi) and the need for Yang energy to ignite motivation.

  • Region of Action: Highly specific to the Lower Jiao (Lower Burner), focusing deeply on the lower back, knees, bladder, and reproductive organs where the foundation of the body's constitutional warmth is rooted.

  • Classical Heritage: First recorded in the Han-dynasty classic Jin Gui Yao Lue (Essentials from the Golden Cabinet) by Zhang Zhongjing, it is the foundational archetype for all Kidney Yang-warming formulas and the direct ancestor of the famous Yin-nourishing formula Liu Wei Di Huang Wan.

Zhenatura Ba Wei Di Huang Wan Extra Strong is based on the classical Ba Wei Di Huang Wan (also referred to as Jin Gui Shen Qi Wan or “Kidney Qi Pill from the Golden Cabinet”), first recorded in the Han-dynasty medical text Jin Gui Yao Lue (“Essential Prescriptions from the Golden Cabinet”) by the renowned physician Zhang Zhong-jing. Within traditional Chinese herbal literature, this specific combination of botanicals—including Prepared Rehmannia Root, Chinese Yam, Cornelian Cherry Fruit, Poria Mushroom, Moutan Cortex, Alisma Rhizome, Cinnamon Bark, and Processed Aconite—was described as a method to “warm and tonify Kidney Yang,” “support the Ming Men fire,” and “promote fluid metabolism” in accordance with the TCM theoretical framework. These descriptions belong exclusively to the traditional conceptual system of Chinese medicine and do not refer to modern anatomy, psychology, or scientifically validated physiological effects.
