This product is sold exclusively as a dietary supplement. It is not a medicine. Its use is based on traditional TCM applications.

Main benefits

  • Pattern Identification: Traditionally used for the TCM pattern of “Phlegm-Heat Harassing the Interior (Gallbladder and Stomach),” characterized by severe insomnia, profound anxiety, palpitations, a bitter taste in the mouth, intense nausea, dizziness, and a feeling of heavy oppression in the chest.

  • Clearing Phlegm-Heat: Huang Lian and Zhu Ru work powerfully together to drain Fire and clear hot, sticky Phlegm. Huang Lian directly extinguishes Heat in the Heart and Stomach, while Zhu Ru cools the Gallbladder and Stomach, stopping nausea and cutting through the dense, heating phlegm that clouds the mind.

  • Regulating Qi & Descending Rebellious Energy: Zhi Shi and Chen Pi break up stagnant Qi and direct it downwards. By restoring the proper downward movement of the Stomach and Gallbladder, they immediately relieve chest oppression, belching, and acid reflux.

  • Drying Dampness & Transforming Phlegm: Ban Xia and Fu Ling form the classic core for drying Dampness and resolving Phlegm at its source (the Spleen). Ban Xia powerfully stops nausea and transforms thick phlegm, while Fu Ling drains the fluid accumulation that creates phlegm in the first place.

  • Calming the Spirit (Shen): By aggressively clearing the physical blockage (Phlegm) and the irritating heat (Fire) that are "harassing" the Heart and Gallbladder, this formula indirectly but profoundly restores mental clarity and calm, treating the physical root of severe sleep and anxiety disorders.

  • Classical Heritage: An enhancement of the famous Wen Dan Tang (Warm the Gallbladder Decoction), this version adds Huang Lian (from the Liu Yin Tiao Bian) to specifically address modern presentations where stress-induced Heat has heavily combined with poor digestion (Phlegm), creating a highly agitated nervous and digestive system.

Zhenatura Huang Lian Wen Dan Tang Extra Strong is based on the classical Huang Lian Wen Dan Tang (“Warm Gallbladder Decoction with Coptis”), a Qing‑dynasty modification of the earlier Wen Dan Tang that was first described in texts such as Liu Yin Tiao Bian and later clinical commentaries. Within traditional Chinese herbal literature, this variant—prepared from Caulis Bambusae in taeniam (Zhu Ru), Fructus immaturus Citri Aurantii (Zhi Shi), Rhizoma Pinelliae (Ban Xia), Pericarpium Citri reticulatae (Chen Pi), Sclerotium Poriae cocos (Fu Ling), Radix Glycyrrhizae preparata (Zhi Gan Cao), Fructus Ziziphi jujubae (Da Zao), Rhizoma Zingiberis officinalis recens (Sheng Jiang), Rhizoma Coptidis (Huang Lian), and in modern products a neutral base such as corn starch, is described as a method to “clear Phlegm‑Heat from the Gallbladder and Stomach,” “regulate Qi and resolve turbidity,” “harmonize the middle Jiao,” and “calm the Spirit” according to the TCM theoretical framework. These descriptions belong exclusively to the traditional conceptual system of Chinese medicine and do not refer to modern neurology, psychiatry, gastroenterology, or scientifically validated physiological effects.
